Working on Getting a Food Managers License
I have finally received the food managers textbook and am currently studying to take the test by December first. Hopefully, I pass the first try and can continue on with selling our product online and in person. I also took a break from packaging and now have started to pick back up on designing it. I have contacted a few more companies about packaging trying to find the right price for the customization that I am looking for, so far I haven't had any luck.
Since we have decided to work under the Cottage Law and Regulations I had to revise the sprint plans for the year to accommodate for the changes. One of the key necessities to opening up your own food cottage production is to have a food manager's license. So while I have been studying and reading the textbook I have also updated the website, worked on finances and started looking into what banks have the best options for business accounts.
Progress of My Original Work
Our original work deadline is closing in and most of my work so far has been researching to help with my original work. I have been looking into meal plans and healthy recipes that will help inspire me and come up with my own recipes to put into my recipe book. I don't have much time left but I think that since I have such a big foundation of research and other outside experience, it should make the process much easier. The only time-consuming part will be testing and making the recipes to ensure they taste good and are a balanced and healthy meal, snack, or dessert.
