Final presentation
Last week was the Final presentation and despite me feeling underprepared it actually went really well. I thought I would not have enough time to prepare all the food but I was able to make the dumplings, nutter butter, and the cranberry orange scone. Everyone loved them and actually asked to take my final product home. One of my mentors was actually able to come, Mitsoo Nanavaty, was able to come and she was wonderful she is always such a ray of sunshine and I really want to express my thanks to her on this blog. I was scared that I was not going to be able to remember my script for my speech or miss some information that I had but it was all good. I definitely felt that my speaking skills have gotten better when presenting. I did not have as many slip-ups or weird pauses as I normally do and I did not say "um" twenty thousand times which is good. I am just glad that I finished this year strong.
My Final Thoughts
Ending my senior year with being in ISM is truly amazing. I loved the class, Mrs. Altizer, and just the experience overall. I know that this class is super work heavy but I really think that even if you did not get a mentor you can still learn so much about your topic and just from other people through interviews. I really have been given such a great opportunity to be in this class and really made me feel secure about my career choice and what I want to major in in college. I did have some struggles and weeks where I fell behind or felt lazy but it all worked out. Learning to self-pace myself and learn how to set a schedule for myself. I got to know myself better based on how I organize my work and studies and how I learn in order to be able to accomplish the projects and work for the class. I overall loved ISM and Mrs. Grandell. To Mrs. Grandell who is reading this, thank you. Thank you for everything and for being so supportive of me and my sister you truly are an amazing person.
