Getting into Business
After my extended Christmas break after getting Covid-19, I am finally back in the groove of things, kind of. I got my food manager's test reordered and I am taking it Friday morning. I have been a little behind on my work and just finish up some of my finances as well as how I want to market my product prior to launch. I am a little rusty on my food knowledge and may need to refresh my mind a little bit. However, as soon as I get my license I can finally start selling my product which is crazy but a little nerve-racking. I do not feel as prepared as I want to be but I am not sure if it is just nerves or if I am missing something. Despite my nerves, I hope I pass so I can continue to move on with my business to build my customer base and develop the company further.
Exciting News
I had a meeting last week with my mentor, Tawanna Fields, which she invited me as her guest to an entrepreneur brunch that she is holding which is really exciting. She also talked to her friend Dominque who owns a restaurant in Plano and asked if I could sell my products there, and she said yes! Now I have two locations that I have available to sell my products and can also be purchased online. There is a lot that has been happening and I feel a bit anxious but in a good way. I am excited for the upcoming months to see what happens and where I will be.
Getting work done
In ISM I have been a little behind more than I want to be. I am playing catch up now trying to get my work done upfront so I do not have so much to do later in the week. I just finished a research assessment and writing my final product proposal which I decided to do a cookbook. I am still not entirely set on creating a cookbook but I still like the idea. If I do find a better idea I will definitely look into it.
